Dock Seals and Bumpers
Our dock door seals and dock door shelters can be installed into new buildings or retrofitted into existing plants.
Hörmann Flexon dock seals are useful for protecting merchandise and reducing pilferage during loading or unloading of materials or merchandise, providing a direct positive contact between your facility and the shipping truck. You can install our dock door seals around the outside perimeter of your loading dock doorways.
We recommend our dock door seals for doorway sizes up to 10' W x 10' H. Our door dock seals are available in a variety of cover materials, with designs to accommodate any application. Constructed from #1 grade, pressure-treated, lumber backboards. We offer a 30-year warranty against termite damage and decay. Closed-cell polyurethane foam ensures a positive seal around the trailer for reduced heating and air conditioning loss.
Our Hörmann Flexon dock door shelters are recommended for use on larger doorways and for applications where accommodation of various types and sizes of trucks is required.
Designed to service a wide variety of truck widths and heights, our dock door shelters are recommended for doorway sizes up to 12' W x 12' H. Constructed of lumber head and side frames, foam-filled bottom draft cushions, and protective steel channel bumpers. Our dock door shelters are built for a long lifespan in heavy-duty environments.
Hörmann Flexon provides many customization options for our Hörmann Flexon dock door shelters including a variety of face curtain materials, and flexible or semi-flexible designs. Cover material can be fabricated form our high-tear vinyl to traditional Hypalon® and vinyls.
PVC Strip Doors
The Flexidoor® Series HD is a flexible impact traffic door designed to withstand the abuse common to heavy-duty industrial applications.
Designed for superior long-term performance, the Flexidoor® Series HD impact traffic doors include the following standard features:
- Tough, 10mm (3/8") black PVC panels for superior impact absorption, as well as abrasion and puncture resistance; also available in transparent PVC.
- Low-profile hinge pivots allows door to swing on an even plane, eliminating the stressful rising and falling of cam-style closures and allowing the door to be built to within ¼" tolerance of finished door opening.
- Fully enclosed, adjustable torsion spring closing mechanism automatically returns door to closed position.
- Large center overlap ensures positive seal and helps eliminate air movement between controlled plant environments.
- Full-length vertical frame construction designed so that 90% of the door's actual weight is distributed to the floor's surface, so that there is never a need for the special jamb reinforcements normally associated with other types of cam-style doors.
- Gray enamel frame finish and galvanized steel mounting hardware; galvanized and stainless steel frame construction also available for washdown and food grade applications.
- Replaceable panels eliminate need to replace the door frame or hardware, reducing your long-term costs.
As with all Hörmann Flexon products, we engineered our Flexidoor® Series HD impact traffic doors with value and efficiency in mind. Installation and routine maintenance can be performed by your in-house maintenance personnel, so that downtime is virtually eliminated.
